Have a Safe Halloween!

Grand Strand rentalsNow that Halloween is here please be extra careful when you’re driving around. Many children and their parents still go door-to-door trick or treating and with costumes on, their field of vision isn’t always what it should be. It’s up to drivers to stay alert and watch for these trick or treaters whose focus is usually on the next house.

An alternative for those wanting a safer environment for their children is to go Halloween Trick or Treating at Barefoot Landing. From 5-7 p.m. on Monday, October 31, dress the kids up and bring them out to enjoy the sights, sounds, and safety of trick or treating at Barefoot Landing. Bring the family to shop, eat and enjoy!

There’s also Halloween on the Marshwalk – an annual Murrells Inlet tradition. Children are invited to trick-or-treat along the Marshwalk from 5-6 p.m. The Children’s Costume Contest winners will be announced at 6 p.m. Later in the evening, the adult fun begins, as the costumed marauders prowl the Marshwalk. Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes. Inquire at any of the Marshwalk restaurants.

The Grand Strand rentals you get from Surfside Realty will have you close to all the area has to offer and at a price you can afford.

We have more than 100 golf courses along a 60-mile long coastal strip, 1,800+ restaurants, endless beaches, shopping complexes, amusement parks, and live entertainment theaters. So you’ll always have something to entertain yourself with when you stay in these Grand Strand rentals.

Snowbirds Migrate to Grand Strand

Garden City Beach house rentalWith autumn here it won’t be long before winter arrives and with it the cold temperatures and snow for those living in the northern states. If you’re looking for a Garden City Beach house rental to spend part of your winter in we can help you with that. We have quite a few long-term rentals in the area that we’d be delighted to show you.

Attracted by miles of sugar white beach and temperatures averaging in the 60s, thousands of people make their southbound pilgrimage to the Coastal Carolina’s from October to March each year. These people, affectionately nicknamed “snowbirds”, return to the north when temperatures start to warm up in early spring.

A financial benefit of heading to the beach in the winter is staying in a Garden City Beach house rental at a substantially less amount than many pay for their mortgages or rent up north. Here, winter monthly rates are generally about what summer beach goers will pay for a one week stay.

The snowbirds may come down to the South Carolina coast to get away from blinding blizzards and treacherous ice storms but, before they return home, they have made lasting friendships and had a positive impact on the area. A combination of the two explains why so many of them return year after year. It is because their Garden City Beach house rental has truly become a home away from home.

How To Find Your Perfect Rental

Get De-Stressed and Focused

Garden City Beach condosIf you’ve decided that you’ll soon be heading to the shores of South Carolina for a late season vacation and maybe a little golf, then you’ve made a wonderful decision. Nothing rids your body of stress like the sounds and scent of the ocean and nothing turns your mind into a focused machine like a good game of golf. There are several places to choose from in the Grand Strand area, but head away from the frenzy of Myrtle Beach to a place just south called Garden City Beach.

Garden City Beach is a family friendly beach that is well within reach of the hotbed of activity. It doesn’t aim to tear you away from the traditional tourist attractions, but don’t be surprised if once you unpack your bags, you never end up venturing very far from your homey Garden City Beach condos and the quietly appealing stretch of beach that it’s lucky enough to exist upon.

The best way to experience this paradise is to rent one of our Garden City Beach condos and sit your self down for a good long break. Bring the kids, bring the extended family, bring some friends, or just bring your self; any way you do it there’s a place that will accommodate every taste and special need. Compared to a hotel room, for example, Garden City Beach condos are usually spacious and fully equipped, including laundry facilities. Everyone will have space to breathe and do their own thing, whatever that may be.

If you’re in the area you should check out the Myrtle Beach Wine Festival at Market Common on Saturday, Oct 22, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Free Admission. All guests sampling must buy Wine Fest tasting glass ($3) plus sample over 120 wines (2 oz samples). There will be live entertainment and a variety of vendors.
