4 Reasons to Rent a Beach House for Your Next Beach Vacation

4-reasons-to-rent-a-vacation-home-for-your-next-beach-vacationBeach vacations are always a blast. Sand, sun and family time. What could be better? Booking a beach rental can upgrade your beach vacation from an 8 to an outstanding 10!

Sometimes the beach can tire you out, especially if you have children.

Spend too much time at the beach during the day and you just might find that the sun can become overbearing and the sand can become a nuisance. Having a beach rental can solve all of this!Instead of spending hours upon hours at the beach, you can spread it out and go periodically throughout the day. This means you can go to the beach for a few hours in the morning, walk the rental for lunch, relax, head back out and then finish the day floating the pool!screen-shot-2016-11-17-at-9-54-52-am

Everyone gets their own space.

Having a beach rental also means everyone can have their own space which is especially great for babies and kids. Family time is great, but sometimes everyone needs a little time to do their own thing whether this is read a book, watch TV or play. This keeps moods in check and makes family time that much better!

Cut down on meal expenses.

If you have a large family, going out to eat during vacation can become expensive. Utilizing a beach rental means you have a full kitchen that you can utilize for breakfast, lunch and dinner, cutting vacation costs tremendously.

Enjoy your vacation as a family without the noisy distractions.

Beach vacations aren?t just for families which means in typical hotel scenarios, you can find yourself surrounded by college kids in the pool or noisy groups that make getting a good night?s sleep impossible. By getting a beach rental, you cut down on the distractions and spend more time fully enjoying your vacation as a family.surfside-beach-14Make your beach vacation the best one yet and book your family a beach rental. Our 3 Favorite Places for Waterfront Dining on the Grand Strand

There’s nothing like enjoying the flavors of Myrtle Beach while watching the Sandpipers race along the shoreline, or listening to the waves lap the sand. Here are three favorite places to eat and enjoy waterfront views:

The South End: The Gulfstream Cafe

Marlin Quay Marina is a short little pit stop for boaters in Garden City, but The Gulfstream Cafe is a local favorite. Not only does it have a beautiful third-floor deck with expansive views, both levels of dining rooms feature floor to ceiling windows to take in the sunset. We recommend the surf and turf or any special on the menu. The bar is fully stocked and knowledgeable mixologists will provide you with your favorite cocktails, wine or beer. This is an especially popular destination during the holidays, so book your reservation in advance if you’ll be in the area near Christmas or New Years Eve.

Heart of Myrtle Beach: Sea Captain’s House

The Sea Captain’s House is a mainstay of Myrtle Beach. Located on Ocean Blvd. in the heart of Myrtle Beach, this restaurant has been open for over 50 years and is a local favorite. Don’t let the quaint exterior full you. Once you walk in, you’ll have a great oceanfront view. As for the food, they have menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner. But don’t miss the She Crab Soup or crab cakes. They’re among the best at the beach.

The North End: Filet’s on the Water

Filet’s on the Water is a more modern seafood joint located on the Intracoastal Waterway next to the Little River Swing Bridge. Its views are beautiful and the food is equally so. Start with the mussels or sushi and, of course, get a signature filet. They also have an amazing dessert martini menu that is a must-try.

No matter where you dine in Myrtle Beach, you’re sure to not be far from the water, but these three places are our favorite—from traditional to modern, from the inlet to the ocean—for dining on the water without having to be outside.
