Local Events for Independence Day 2015

Every year the coastal South Carolina area celebrates Independence Day on July 4th in a big way. There are local events taking place all around the area from North Myrtle Beach to Georgetown and everywhere in between. If you’ll be here on vacation staying in one of our holiday vacation rentals be sure to venture out and take in some of the fireworks displays. You’ll see what makes vacationing at this time of the year extra special.

Local Events for Independence Day 2015

Surfside Beach

4th of July Celebration will take place at Surfside Pier at the intersection of Surfside Drive and Ocean Boulevard. Fireworks with live entertainment from 6 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 4.

Murrells Inlet

July 4th Boat Parade and fireworks display take place at the Murrells Inlet Marsh Walk and Veterans Pier. The 30th annual boat parade begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 4, from Garden City Point. The parade runs along the Marshwalk and down the inlet to the Hot Fish Club. Fireworks begin at 10 p.m. at the end of Veterans Pier, and can be seen from anywhere along the Marshwalk as well as down the marsh shoreline at Belin United Methodist Church and Hot Fish Club.

North Myrtle Beach

Barefoot Landing, 4898 Highway 17 S., North Myrtle Beach. Fireworks begin at 10:15 p.m. on Saturday, July, 4, over the lake at Barefoot Landing.

Cherry Grove Pier, 3500 N. Ocean Blvd., North Myrtle Beach. Fireworks begin around 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, 2014.

Myrtle Beach

Broadway at the Beach, between 21st and 29th avenues North on U.S. 17 Bypass in Myrtle Beach. Fireworks start at 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, 2015, over Lake Broadway.

Second Avenue Pier, 110 N. Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach. There will be a fireworks display beginning at 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, at Second Avenue Pier. Visitors can view the show from a variety of places up and down the beach and Myrtle Beach boardwalk.

TicketReturn.com Field, 1251 21st Ave. N., Myrtle Beach. The Myrtle Beach Pelicans will celebrate Independence Day with post-game fireworks displays on both Thursday, July 2 and Friday, July 3.


The City of Georgetown will host its annual fireworks display in East Bay Park, 310 Greenwitch Dr., Georgetown, beginning at dusk on Saturday, July 4. Call (843) 546-8436 for more details.
