What to Do On Your Spring Vacation In Myrtle Beach



So you’ve booked your spring vacation at one of our beach homes but aren’t sure what to do besides, well, hitting the beach? While a beach vacation can certainly consist of lounging on the sand or playing beach volleyball all day, it certainly doesn’t have to. If you’re looking to add some adventure to your vacation and spice things up, take a read at our list of suggestions in terms of what to do during the month of March. 

Myrtle Beach Marathon (March 7th):

Whether you’re an avid marathon runner or simply enjoy meeting new people and experiencing the local Myrtle Beach energy, this marathon is sure to please. This annual event attracts thousands of racers from across the country! In fact, many runners use this race as their qualifying race to the Boston Marathon, so it’s kind of a big deal. All participants will get 20% off food and non-alcoholic drinks, so buy your ticket today. 

St. Patrick’s Day Parade (March 14th):

Myrtle Beach’s annual St. Patrick’s Day parade will attract over 40,000 viewers, so expect lots of spirit! The parade starts at 9 am and is followed by live music, children’s rides, and amusements until 4 pm. Enjoy crafts and services on display from numerous vendors at this high-energy event. 

Run to the Sun Car Show (March 19th-21st):

This three-day event featuring classic cars is one of the largest in the southeast. Even if you aren’t a car enthusiast, you’ll be pleased to know this event raises money for the Children’s Miracle Network and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. In fact, this event has donated more than $1.8 million to charities since its founding in 1987. So go support a good cause a donate a bit of money at this heartwarming event! 

Enjoy the Pool and Outdoor Areas:

While events are certainly fun to attend, perhaps you want to make the most of your vacation rental. Some of our favorite things to do include: grill a new recipe with your family, host a pool party, ask each guest to bring their favorite dish to your place where you can host a bar-b-que, and enjoy a quiet afternoon reading poolside. 

Walk Along Broadway at the Beach:
