      Several of the homes offered through Seaside Rentals will have an in-ground spa pool (referred to as a cabana pool). A spa is a small raised pool area with seating that overflows in to the main pool. Spas have air jets which create bubbles. Spas are semi-common features on many of our pools. Spas will only heat when pool heat is requested and paid for. Spas will only heat to the temperature of the pool (i.e. between 70 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit).

      A hot tub is a standalone unit that will heat to approximately 100 degrees Fahrenheit and also has jets. Seaside Rentals does offer some limited properties with hot tubs, and these are specifically advertised as hot-tubs. Please be specific when booking your vacation pool home regarding the amenity you are looking for.

      While we can't guarantee exactly what the weather will be like when you stay at a Seaside Rentals rental home, we do have a pretty clear idea of how the weather will be for the period that you stay, based on the monthly averages kindly provided by the weather channel.

      Please note that, because of the sub-tropical nature of South Carolina's climate, rain storms can be sudden and heavy. So in the peak months of rainfall (June through September), rain typically falls daily in the afternoon for a short period before clearing the path to a great day. Occasionally, in the off season if a cold front is moving through the US; while not common, we do experience frost from time to time.

      Most of our homes do not provide any type of grill. If there is any type of grill provided, this amenity will be listed under the exterior features of the home on the website. Grilling is not permitted under the home or on the decks of the homes.

  • What are the benefits of the Reservation Damage Waiver?

      Accidental Damage Waiver is designed to reduce the amount of money that you have to pay when staying at a vacation home. Many companies request guests to put down a "security" deposit, which leaves a large sum of money with the managing agent in case of damage to the property during their stay. In many cases, this causes guests to have to wait until weeks after their departure before they got their security deposit back.

      Seaside Rentals is proud to offer a Reservation Damage Waiver (RDW) which is a nominal amount of money that the guest only has to pay once - and that covers up to $1000 of reported, accidental damage that may occur during their stay.   • Why should I purchase the Red Sky Travel Insurance?
    • Why should I purchase the Red Sky Travel Insurance?

      Seaside Rentals books thousands of reservations each year with guests from all around the USA and other parts of the world. Each month we receive calls from guests who have booked their vacation - only to find that some family emergency or work-related commitment means that they unexpectedly have to change their vacation plans and cancel.

      If that guest purchased the Red Sky Travel Insurance, then such a cancellation is only covered under the terms of the Red Sky Travel Insurance plan. If the guest has not purchased VPI as a part of their reservation, then the risk losing their deposit or other monies paid under the terms details in our general terms and conditions of rental.

      Vacation homes are not the same as hotels. Once you have made a booking and commitment, the booking blocks that specific home from other guests booking it. If you cancel, the owner of the home will take a loss, which is why the cancellation terms are more demanding. Seaside Rentals strongly recommends that all guests include the Red Sky Travel Insurance option in their purchase to protect them against such unforeseen cancellations.

      Many of the homes have internet access, but are based on availability. Internet access will be listed under interior features on the website if provided. If internet access is a requirement for your stay, please check for availability prior to booking.

  • Is there nearby shopping & restaurants?

      Yes, there are shopping centers, grocery stores and restaurants within just minutes from your home. For your shopping needs there are Wal-Marts on Business 17 South in Garden City Beach & on Hwy 544 in Surfside Beach. There are also several local grocery stores such as Kroger, Food Lion, Piggly Wiggly, Bi-Lo & Lowe's.

  • Do you allow pets?

      We offer a limited number of dog friendly accommodations. These will be specified on the website. Unfortunately, though we love all the furry & feather covered members of your family, we are unable to offer accommodations to any pets other than dogs. Please note that an agreement must be made in advance, and additional fees may apply. Authorization is completed on a case by case basis. If approved, an additional non-refundable fee per stay will be required for deep cleaning for next guests who may have allergies to dogs. Please note: If you bring your pet to the property without permission, you will be asked to leave without a refund. Additionally, there is a minimal penalty of $300.

      Each pool is serviced by a home specific pool company throughout your weeklong stay and checked prior to your arrival. However, if attention is needed between services and an issue arises, simply call our office during business hours and we will request to have it serviced.

      Unlike hotel rooms, vacation homes are self-catering. They are cleaned prior to your arrival and then upon your departure. You are responsible for maintaining the property during your stay, and there will not be a daily maid service or fresh towels provided. All homes are equipped with a full kitchen and a washer and dryer for your use.

      Our check-in office is located at 12 South Ocean Boulevard, Surfside Beach, SC 29575.

  • Is it possible to get an early check-in or late check out?

      Check-in time is between 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. (Off Season Check in Hours Will Vary). Arrivals before 4 p.m. are generally not permitted. Check out time is before 10 a.m. Departures after 10 a.m. are generally not permitted. This restriction sometimes comes as a surprise to people who are accustomed to staying in hotels, motels, and resorts. Please try to appreciate the difference between the work involved in properly cleaning a private residential home and the time required to clean a much smaller hotel room. It can take up to 5 hours or more to clean a private residential home (hence the reason for the 6-hour gap between check-out and check-in time). Moreover, our homes require routine and special maintenance which must be completed between occupancies. The only way to be certain of an early check-in is to purchase the night prior to your arrival if available. The only way to secure a late check-out is to purchase the night after your scheduled departure if available. If you arrive into town early, please stop by our office to let us know you are here & then we recommend that you spend your time getting to know our area. We do not recommend that you purchase perishable items before arrival.

      Every effort will be made to insure you stay in the specific home, townhouse or condo you book online. In the event of an unforeseen circumstance (such as a maintenance issue) the booking may be moved to a property of equal or greater value/amenity. If this occurs, you will be notified at the earliest date possible.

      We are always here to insure you have a wonderful stay with us. You are welcome to call us at the office during business hours or our after-hours household emergency number in the very rare event you need us right away. Generally, household emergencies are defined as matters which render the home unable to be occupied safely (examples: broken windows, door locks, flooding, smoke damage, roof leaks) This service is why more and more people are choosing to stay in a vacation rental home while in Surfside Beach, Garden City Beach or Long Bay Estates. They have the privacy and luxury of a home with the service and amenities of a resort.

  • What do all the different locations mean?

      Oceanfront - An oceanfront home has no homes or buildable lots located between it and the ocean. The distance between the home and the ocean may vary.

      Oceanside - Oceanside of the Boulevard homes are located one lot back from the ocean and may require crossing the small service road of Seaside Drive. Children always will need assistance to cross any road. The distance to the water, beach accesses, and views vary.

      Second Row - These homes are located on Ocean Boulevard or Waccamaw Drive and may have one to two homes between them and the ocean and will require crossing one to two roads. These homes may or may not have an ocean view and the distance to beach accesses & ocean varies.

      Walk to the Beach - These properties are any home behind Second Row. These homes may or may not have an ocean view and the distance to beach accesses & ocean varies.

  • What do I need to know about kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities?

      Our homes are self-catering & are fully furnished and equipped to the highest standard including cooking and eating utensils, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher, microwave, washer, dryer and cable TV. Arrival soaps, tissues & a starter trash bag will be provided. Cleaning supplies and additional soaps or paper products are not provided.

      No, our office is not open 24 hours. For specific & seasonal office hours please contact the office.

  • What if I arrive after hours?

      We have an after-hours check-in box by our office door. Your arrival pack with the keys and directions to the home are inside. Should you have any problems when you arrive, there is an emergency number on our office front door. Please note: Keys will not be made available for late arrivals unless balance is paid in full.

  • When and how do I check-out?

      Departure time is before 10:00 a.m. We do not have a check-out process but we do ask for your assistance with the following:

      • Please start the dishwasher and take out all the food & trash items.

      • Please double check that you have everything!!

      • Please return the keys to the office. If you return them prior to business hours, please drop the keys in the key drop to the left of our front door.

      When you find the home of your choice you can either book the property online or speak to one of our Reservationists at 1-866-252-9930. When making your reservation we require a completed contract & approximately 1/2 down within 10 days of booking, unless you are arriving in less than 30 days. The remaining balance is requested 30 days prior to check-in.

      No. The property is cleaned prior to your arrival and after your departure.

  • Are the pools heated?

      Pool heat can be provided for many homes for an additional weekly charge. Pool heat is available March 1 - May 31 & September 1 - November 1. Please contact the office to check for availability.

  • How close are the homes to Myrtle Beach?

      All of our properties are located just a short drive, approximately 10 - 15 minutes, from all the main area attractions, including downtown Myrtle Beach & the Myrtle Beach International Airport.

  • How old do you have to be to book?

      You must be at least 25 years or older in order to book and confirm a reservation. Our homes are family friendly travel destinations. We do not rent to school, church, fraternity, sorority or other non-family groups unless all members are family or are 25 years of age or older.

  • What if a property becomes no longer available after I have rented the property?

      We strive to comply with all reservation requests for specific vacation properties; however, due to ownership changes, properties being removed from rental use, mechanical problems, or other unforeseen circumstances, we occasionally will need to re-locate your family to another property. Seaside Rentals reserves the right to change assignments without notice or liability if the property becomes unavailable. When comparable accommodations are not available, guests will have the option of selecting from available properties at the published rate or receiving a complete refund of their reservation deposit.
