US Airways earns the Airline Business Airline Strategy Award for Finance in June 2003. The Finance award, which is sponsored by GE Aviation Services, is presented to the airline who most successfully completes a major financial transaction, new strategy or cost initiative over the past year. This award acknowledged US Airways’ strategic fast-track emergence from Chapter 11 reorganization, with expenses down by $1.9 billion annually.

The Minority Corporate Counsel Association awards US Airways the Diversity 2003 Award for the hiring and promotion of minority attorneys.

US Airways earns the 2003 OBIE Award from the Outdoor Advertising Association of America, Inc. The OBIE Award, which is the oldest and one of the most prestigious honors in advertising, recognizes creative excellence in outdoor advertising in the U.S. and around the world. The award was presented to Eisner Communications for work completed on behalf of US Airways.

US Airways earns the 2003 Local ADDY Awards from the Advertising Association of Baltimore. The Best in Baltimore ADDY Awards competition distributes the highest local honors given for creative work in the advertising industry. The award was presented to Eisner Communications for work completed on behalf of US Airways.

US Airways earns the 2003 National ADDY Award from the American Advertising Federation. The ADDY Awards competition is the world’s largest advertising competition. Finalists in the National competition must have first won at the local and district levels. Less than one percent of all entries actually win a national ADDY Award. The award was presented to Eisner Communications for work completed on behalf of US Airways.

US Airways earns the Incentive Magazine Platinum Partner Award, which is designated by the subscribers of Incentive Magazine. US Airways has been awarded Platinum status three years in a row for the domestic market.

US Airways receives the 2003 Corporate Vision Award from Girls Incorporated for the company’s commitment to diversity.

US Airways ranks first in the Annual Airline Quality Rating for 2002. The AQR is an annual study conducted jointly by the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Wichita State University. US Airways wins the BI Performance Supplier of the Year Award as selected by employees of BI Performance, an incentive award travel company.

US Airways wins the distinctive Carlson Marketing Group Spirit of Excellence Award. Employees of Carlson Marketing Group rate airlines in marketing and operational support.

US Airways earns the Maritz Travel “Pinnacles of Excellence Award”. Employees of Maritz Travel rate airlines annually in the areas of Marketing Support and Operations. US Airways has won this award three years running.

The Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility recognizes US Airways in 2002 as one of the few major U.S. corporations that has a Hispanic member of the Board of Directors.
