Come with us on a customized, safari-style jeep tour which has it all: history, nature, ecology and wildlife all in one trip. It’s an ecotourism adventure with NO SPECIAL FITNESS LEVEL NEEDED. FUN FOR ALL AGES.

Jeeps are roomy with individual seats and seat belts. Heated and covered for winter comfort with roll-up sides for warmer weather. Seating allows for 12-14 per jeep.

Your entertaining, world-class pathfinder guides include a Harvard-educated writer and a native, magazine photographer and naturalist. Other guides are teachers and nature intpreters. Your guide is with you the entire time, getting off with you to show you the sights, narrating and answering your questions.

The tour runs 3 ½ hours, 7 days a week with AM and PM schedules. RESERVATIONS NEEDED. Pick up at most Myrtle Beach area resorts. Snack and Rest Room Stops. Easy walking sites. Handicap access---please pre-notify.

The Carolina Safari is based in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. This one-of-a-kind history/nature tour in customized safari-style vehicles was most recently featured in the July 2001 issue of Southern Living Magazine. The tour company has also been the subject of articles in such periodicles as Golf Magazine, Family Circle, TravelHost Magazine, The Atlanta Constitution, The Charlotte Observer, The Charleston Gazette, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Carolina Reporter, Jet Expressions, and in books such as “Off the Beaten Path” and “Insiders Guide to the Grand Strand”. The Safari was nationally seen on Discovery’s Travel Channel. The Safari was a featured tour choice for the Sc Governor’s Conference on Tourism and Travel 2000. The Carolina Safari Tours are members of the International Society of EcoTourism, South Carolina Nature Based Tourism Association, Low Country Wildlife Action, Partners in Economic Develpoment, Coastal Network Cooperative, Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce, Myrtle Beach Hospitality Association. The Carolina Safari’s itinerary includes travel through Georgetown County---known as the most haunted county in the USA. Our regular trip includes a visit to a “haunted” graveyard on the banks of a river replete with moss draped Oaks and tales of the famed Alice Flagg and the Gray Man of Pawley’s Island---and more. Get to know the African Gullah haints, haunts, plat-eyes and boo daddy sprits of the region. Find out about the fearsome pirate legends, Drunken Jack’s Island and more folklore.

Smell the salt marsh air; surround your senses in the legendary lands of the Waccamaw Neck---experience rich natural beauty and tantalizing vestiges of the past.
